Funding Resources
Rural Advanced Skills and Training Program
The advanced skills and training program supports rural physician retention and skill development by providing flexible training opportunities. The program also helps physicians pursuing leadership training focused on driving systematic improvements that benefit rural communities in British Columbia.
Key information:
- Training options range from one to 60 days.
- Sessions are small-group or one-to-one with a preceptor.

Physician Leadership Scholarship Program
PLSP provides active BC physicians funding reimbursement toward leadership development opportunities in alignment with the LEADS Framework, which provides a holistic model for leadership development.
The program focuses on:
- Developing future leaders
- Fostering a culture of continuous QI
- Strengthening the ability to navigate complex health care challenges
- Understanding and applying evidence-based leadership practice
- Advocating for policies and initiatives that drive meaningful change
