The Joint Collaborative Committees (JCCs) have partnered with Len Pierre Consulting and Shxwhá:y Village to host a cultural experiential learning session for physicians on Tuesday, September 26^th, 2023, from 5:00-9:00pm.

This interactive learning experience encourages on-going learning and relationship building between participants and Indigenous communities. Learn about cultural safety education, experience traditional food, dwelling, songs, protocols, language, history, and stories and connect with local health staff and providers.

During this session, themes of colonial genocide, systematic separation from Indigenous identity, land and culture, and the resulting issues of mental and physical health and substance use. These themes may surface personal stories and participants are encouraged to prepare to hear this difficult journey.
