Getting Started with Safety: Foundations, rights, and roles in the workplace

Enhance your workplace health and safety knowledge with our upcoming webinar, “Getting Started with Safety: Foundations, Rights, and Roles in the Workplace,” hosted by Doctors of BC and SWITCH BC.

Join us on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to discover valuable insights on the Community Physician Health and Safety Program. Participants will learn about:

  • Creating a portal account for easy access to resources
  • WorkSafeBC registration requirements
  • Health and Safety Program structure and compliance
  • Legal roles and responsibilities of workers and employers
  • The importance of health and safety meetings
  • Worker Representatives and Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee roles
  • Orientation requirements for new workers

A live Q&A session will take place at the end of the webinar, and participants are encouraged to submit their questions during registration.

All medical office staff are welcome to attend the event. However, only physicians will be awarded an accreditation certificate upon completion of the session. This webinar is accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by UBC CPD for family physicians and specialists.
